L’Argine a Vencò was born from the encounter between a border territory and a personal culinary vision, built over time with care, listening, and research. Here, between the Judrio river and the hills of Collio Goriziano, nature is not just a backdrop but living matter, observed and interpreted day after day.

A shared vision
The people behind L’Argine a Vencò
Antonia Klugmann
Born in Trieste, after classical studies and a university degree in Milan, she chose to dedicate herself to cooking, training through apprenticeships in various kitchens across Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto.
In 2006, she opened her first restaurant in the province of Udine, an experience that allowed her to experiment with her vision in full autonomy. Four years later, she purchased land in Collio Goriziano, a border landscape that she feels is close to her roots.
While the new project took shape, she worked in Venice as a chef. At the end of 2014, she opened L’Argine a Vencò, where she carries out her daily work, intertwining nature, memory, and creative freedom.

Vittoria Klugmann
Like her older sister, she was born and raised in Trieste. After studying Business Economics and a ten-year career in an insurance company, she chose to join Antonia full-time, having already been her partner since her first entrepreneurial venture.
Different personalities but shared sensibilities made their journey together a natural one: Antonia in the kitchen, Vittoria in organization and management.
Today, as Restaurant Manager of L’Argine a Vencò, Vittoria takes care of the team and the restaurant, carrying forward a shared project with her sister, rooted in the same values.
